SHRC directive
The State Human Rights Commission has directed authorities to take steps to check the quality of milk coming in packets from Tamil Nadu. SHRC acting chairperson P. Mohanadas on Friday directed the Health Secretary and the Commissioner of Food Safety to conduct an inquiry into the allegations that the milk contains chemicals and to report to the commission on November 3. A complaint said Food Safety authorities were not paying adequate attention to check the quality of milk.
